Introduction
Designed a seamless UI/UX for Cosmopolitan’s Beauty Award Campaign, enabling public voting for favorite beauty products on desktop and mobile. The intuitive interface ensures a smooth user experience, aligning with the campaign’s vibrant branding, delivering an engaging and professional platform for users to interact effortlessly.
Project Goal
Shorten the voting process of users by 25%
Discovery
We found that users spent excessive time on the voting pages, with a significant number of drop-offs occurring there, which led to a low overall voting rate for the campaign. Therefore, we believed a cleaner, step-by-step process would better guide users through voting.
Solution
We started with the hypothesis that users get lost in the voting process which leads them exit. Our design solution is to add a process bar at the top of the voting pages with action hints to guide users to complete the voting process. and we add some micro interaction to state the current status of the users which makes the process more intuitive and encouraging
Outcome
The voting rate is 12% higher than the previous year, though still lower than our target. However, the overall number of users driven to the campaign is lower than last year; we believe this may be due to the level of campaign promotion and incentives. In general, the progress bar effectively shortens voting screen time, delivering an acceptable result that requires continued improvement in next year's campaign, possibly alternative would be implementing gamification and enhancing login process.
